The location is great, right in the middle of the shopping district of San Francisco and the staff were very helpful and friendly.
The location is excellent, the staffs are frendly.
The room is very tiny and old. the heat is very noisy.
The location is excellent, close to transport, shopping, restaurants etc. and the price is very reasonable for what you get.
The room was quite small and the only view was into a service/ventilation shaft. There was a constant humming possibly caused by the building's central airconditioning unit. The continental breakfast was so poor that we only went once.
For sure the central location and the relatively low price. The staff is friendly enough. There is an annexed pub.
The carpeted rooms do not excel in cleanliness, the window of my room did not stay open, the breakfast is basic and cheaply served in paper dishes, there is no wi-fi in the rooms but you have to squeeze in the lobby or sit on dusty sofas in the TV-room.
it is a hotel with some history, location and severice are good, value for the money.
there is some fan noise all the time due to the structure of the building, not sure what it is.
The location of the hotel is wondurfull near Union square and cable car stop. The price is very pleasant. My room was quiet and nice. I plan to book the room here again, when travel to San Francisco.
It would be nice, when In the room is internet connection.
The staff is the best, went out of their way to help us. It was raining really hard the day we arrived and our train came in at 9:00 am. The staff got us into a room hours prior to check in. They also managed to find us a ride to the bus pick up to meet our train when cabs were not available. Beyond expectations. great folks!
The White Horse Pub is advertised as a restaurant/bar adjoining the hotel so we were looking forward to dinner on site. No one told us prior to the reservation that the pub is being remodeled and website did not disclose.
Staff was unfriendly and unhelpful to the point where every request seemed to be a burden. They assigned an extremely loud room, although quieter rooms were available. The rooms are equipped with blankets you'd expect in a one-star hotel.
The hotel was fine. We did ask the staff for a quiet room, but instead got the (probably) most loud room. At the end of the hallway with aircon machines or what ever running all day/night making a lot of noise. The guy at reception said they stop at 10pm but they didn't. So he lied which I don't apreciate. For the rest reasonable hotel for the price.
The man that checked us in, lieing about the noise in the room.
It was very convenient for Union Square, theatre district, shopping etc. The breakfasts were more than adequate, the pub atmosphere at the end of the day was very relaxing and very friendly.
There was nothing to dislike, a little old fashioned, but for 2 oap's from uk was fine.
Very run down and supprised it was on Booked.net as we have always had great hotels in the past this was very poor, very old and outdated in urgent need of a make over, rooms were very tiny and the bathroom was a joke would never stay here again, apart from one young lad on the desk the rest of the staff were as old as the hotel, very rude and unhelpful,if we had been staying in san francisco for any lenght of time we would of checked out and found a different hotel.
Good clean hotel located in a very god part of town, central to most locations
The noise from cooling units was constant at night and the hotel was very hot. Also the breakfast was not very good or well presented.
Minibar items were cheap, bed was really comfy and bathroom was decent
The TV was a bit outdated and the remote didn't work properly. The breakfast was pretty bad offering old pastries.
The location was fantastic. it allows us to sightseeing the city whiting walking distances.
The continental breakfast was very poor and no many options of food/drink choice. general service of hotel staff was not as expected; they were not very friendly.
The price is the best among other similar hotel, in such a great location in Union Square. I love the shower and square hot tub.
